    Effective date: August 29, 2026

    Service provider

This website and the related services are operated by ByteSeek Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong ("the Company", "we").

    Scope

These terms apply to the ByteSeek Chat web conversation service ("the Service"), including its web interface, account system, and related features. Registering, signing in, or using the Service means you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and the policies they incorporate: the Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy, Supported Regions, and Disclaimer. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.

    Eligibility and accounts

    • You must have full legal capacity in your jurisdiction; minors may not use the Service.
    • You and your actual place of use must fall within the Supported Regions, and you must not be on any applicable trade-sanctions list.
    • Registration requires a valid email. Keep registration information true and accurate.
    • Accounts are personal: no sharing, transferring, renting, or selling.
    • Safeguard your credentials; actions taken through your account are in principle treated as yours. If you notice anomalies, change your password immediately and contact support.

    What the Service provides

AI-model-based online conversation, including but not limited to text chat, image generation, and file analysis. Actual features and available models are as shown in the site, and we may adjust, add, or retire features at any time.

    Third-party models and services

Some capabilities rely on third-party AI models and upstream services. Features or models may change, pause, or end due to model retirement, upstream policy changes, regional restrictions, or outages; we do not promise continued availability of any specific model. When you use a given model, your usage is also bound by the upstream provider's policies — see the Acceptable Use Policy.

    Your input and AI output

    • You are responsible for what you submit (prompts, uploaded files) and must hold the necessary rights to it; do not submit unlawful content or content infringing third-party rights.
    • AI output is generated automatically and may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. Judge its accuracy and fitness yourself — see the Disclaimer.
    • To the extent permitted by law and upstream model licences, you may use AI output for your own lawful purposes; when publishing, follow your jurisdiction's rules on labelling AI-generated content.
    • Consequences of using AI output rest with you.

    Prohibited conduct

Do not engage in anything listed in the Acceptable Use Policy, including but not limited to illegal use, harmful content generation, attacks, risk-control evasion, account sharing, and unlawful resale. Enforcement follows that policy.

    • Some capabilities require payment; entitlements and prices are as shown live in the site — see Subscriptions.
    • Consumed quota or entitlements are not refundable; rules for unactivated or unconsumed portions follow in-site terms.
    • Active subscriptions are not refundable pro rata; purchase as needed.
    • Losses from credentials bought outside official channels (such as discounted third-party codes) rest with the user — see Redeem a Code.
    • Stolen payment instruments, malicious chargebacks, or other payment fraud lead to immediate account freezing, and we reserve the right to recover losses.
    • You bear any taxes you are legally required to bear.

    Availability, changes, and termination

    • We work to keep the Service stable but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
    • We may adjust, upgrade, or retire features and pages; planned maintenance is announced in advance where possible.
    • Accounts violating these terms or related policies face warnings, limits, suspension, or termination depending on severity.

    Intellectual property

    • The Service's interface, marks, documentation, and related content belong to the Company or their respective rights holders; do not copy, scrape, mirror, or use them to build competing products without permission.
    • Content you submit remains yours.
    • Third-party claims arising from your inputs or your use of outputs are yours to handle and bear.

    Disclaimer and limitation of liability

    • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without express or implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
    • To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for indirect losses, data loss, or lost profits caused by use of or inability to use the Service.
    • The Company's aggregate liability to you is capped at the fees you actually paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the dispute.
    • Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits; there, the above applies to the maximum extent the law allows.

    Indemnification

If your use of the Service in breach of these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law causes the Company to face third-party claims, regulatory penalties, or other losses, you shall compensate the Company for all reasonable losses so incurred (including reasonable legal fees).

    Force majeure

We are not liable for interruptions or losses caused by force majeure or events beyond our reasonable control — natural disasters, war, strikes, epidemics, government action, changes in law or policy, large-scale network failures, upstream provider outages — but we will make reasonable efforts to reduce the impact and give timely notice.

    Account termination

    • You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion through the support email.
    • After termination, data is handled per the retention rules in the Privacy Policy.
    • Accounts banned for serious violations are handled per the Acceptable Use Policy.

    Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; updates are published here with a refreshed effective date, and material changes are announced in reasonable ways such as site notices. Continued use constitutes acceptance; if you do not accept, stop using the Service.

    Miscellaneous

    • Entire agreement: these terms and the policies they incorporate are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
    • Severability: if any part is held invalid, the rest remains in force.
    • Assignment: you may not assign your rights or obligations without our written consent; we may assign these terms in a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, with notice as required by law.
    • No waiver: our not acting immediately on a breach does not waive the related rights.
    • Language: the Chinese version prevails; English translations are for reference.

    Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. Disputes should first be resolved through consultation; failing that, they go to the competent courts of Hong Kong.
